Simple Vanilla Frosting Cupcakes

Hello there.  It has been a while.  This summer has been incredibly busy and not a lot of time or events to bake for.  These are some of the most recent I made from June.  

The lemon curd cookie cupcake, I will call the grown up cupcakes.  These cookies came from Trader Joes.  They are a really nice, super thin lemon cookie.  I simply baked a yellow cake mixing in lemon curd and topped it with whip cream and a cookie.  Cookie and whip cream should go on just before serving. 

The other cupcake is a classic yellow with vanilla frosting.  Kids preferred!   

My stand by cakes are, Duncan Hines.  Frosting is the whipped vanilla from Betty Crocker.
