Birthday wrap up, Ruffle cake









After several frosting attempts I had some success.  I tried an Italian buttercream.  It was more like soup.  A marshmallow frosting, thick soup. Although this recipe worked, it needed to be eaten the same day.  It did a bit on settling, but has a great taste.  So this was my first attempt at a layer ruffle cake and I have to say I am very pleased with it.  I decided to add these pretty aqua Sixlets to it.  Happy with my Birthday cake project.  YEAH!

If you are someone that likes to try new recipes.  Go to cooks.com, marshmallow frosting.  Very little ingredients and time required. Frosting actually has no marshmallows in it and I think would be perfect on cupcakes.  Good Luck...
