Smarshmallows and Straws

Smarshmallows, as my daughter's say, are a very versatile treat to use.  Here my girls and I made marshmallow's dipped in chocolate.  I bought these fun paper straws from thesugardiva.com.  I decided to use half the straw for each marshmallow.  We melted some chocolate chips in the microwave and dipped about 1/2 of the marshmallow into the chocolate.  I added a variety of sprinkles and some white m&m's for decorating.  This was fun and easy.  I set them on wax paper to set up, but they could not wait for that.  So I used a butter knife to lift them off the paper and put them on this clear glass cake plate.  Great group project...
